These are some old radios i used to use before the setup got updated. The top one is a HF multi transceiver.

My radio setup is now a bit more advanced :) and i have UHF CB, VHF Airband Transceiver, HF Transceiver, Shortwave, Scanner, Marine Radios and some other radios. Oh and AM/SSB amazing the skip talk to people all over the world on SSB

I look small in this pic as the camera was taken looking down

Wow an FRG-7 (the radio second one down in the stack). I got hold of one as a teenager when they were first released. And just last year I got hold of another in MINT condition - still in the box never used - can you belive it 30 years old, and as new!!

Cheers,
Mark

Robbo, should make that your avatar  We are probably all classed as 'nerds' by the general public  Yeah, I have given up my SSB AM radios. Used to be a stack of fun talking to people so far away on 27MHz. That, and my neighbours used to love the interference they used to get on their tv sets from me  Will have to do it again one day though.

Darren,

In the next couple of days I will get a photo of my new setup and I bet you have a heart attack when you see all the gear :P

I will use the pic of me in my new shack for my avatar when I get round to taking the pic.

Years ago I used to be into CB radios but mainly CB/SSB. I had a SSB set up in my car and used to go out every night and talk to locals and once on lower sideband I picked up Antartica who were in the middle of a blizzard. That would be the furthest I've managed to reach.
