I know some of you have asked whether you can see contrails from the aircraft you are a passenger in and I said I had never seen them. Has anyone else ever seen them from the aircraft they are in? Well...on Sunday on the way down to Melbourne-Avalon, sitting right up the back on Jetstar A320 VH-JQL, get a load of what I filmed. :D :D

No sound by the way folks.

Thanks for posting that. Good to see what a contrail looks like up close.

They need to install a bubble window so that you can stick your head out and really get a great view behind you.

Another good photo/video would be to get it while it while banking left or right while looking behind :)

I agree. They need that 'bubble window' out the back. You just can't see far enough back from the side window!

Darren,

Unfortunately, the link doesn't work for me. Is it possible to post a pic?

Pat

Thanks Darren. Yep, i was a little impatient. Great video. Also gives you a good indication as to how fast you are really travelling! Had a peep at a couple of overflys today and no contrails at all. Must have been a little more humidity around today?

Must have been Pat. Glad you enjoyed the video. We just had SQ 281 overfly here in the dark and left a magnificent contrail!
