PlanePlotter tracking planes via Google Earth


G'day,

Here is the link to the official PlaneSpotter site.

To use the program, you will need to register. The cost is around AUD$40. It's a bargain for what you get.

How to register?
1. Download PlaneSpotter and install.
2. Start the program.
3. A dialogue box appears asking you to register. Do that now.
4. Once you pay, a registration code will be emailed to you.

I didn't get a popup box asking me to register

I emailed them about it and they all they asked is what it did when I started the program. I've installed and reinstalled so many times too.

Try clicking on the green 'start decoding' button. Should ask you for it then.

That's ok, got it sorted and Chainy gave me some tips. haven't looked at it today, been out all day.

It's a pity rescue choppers weren't equipped with this because this morning I had the scanner on the ambo channel. Resuce 21 was called off from an accident near Cowra whilst Rescue 23 was called to one near Bathurst/Ilford. Both left from bankstown.

Off topic I know

You can off topic if you like. Not much happens here at times Anyway, I think it will be required by the end of the year that they are all equipped with it. Quite sure about that. I know traffic is growing on there monthly. Glad you got set up though. It's a brilliant program mate
