I do listen to HF sometimes via the net. Maybe people generally prefer YSSY YMML YPPH etc to listen to due to the larger amount of activity.

With so many air routes and aircraft CPDLC equipped these days the HF traffic has dropped off a lot . Apart from the occasional selcal check there is little to listen to . I used to listen to the USAF Mainsail net and also the RAF Architect network but with data link and satcom facilities they have also "dried " up too ..

Every so often I do mate. Have a long wire antenna in the yard. Good hearing them hundreds of miles away and then hrs later seeing them land :D

Hi all, i know its a bit old topic now but i listen to HF quite a lot these days. i brought a DX394 about 6 months ago and pull it out quite reguarly. i pay particualr attention to 13261,8867,5643. am exploring around a bit there though, i only have a longwire up atm, it works ok but im going to try a few different types of antennas and see how i go.
cheers all
Matt :)
