Hi all, Im listening to Melbourne center on 121.2mhz. i heard Mentor03 come landing and doing airwork at Wagga. i have that callsign as a Winjeel, do they still have them in the RAAF fleet or has it been replaced by something else?

The RAAF retired the Winjeels a long time ago . I'm not sure what this call sign is related to , but I will try and find out .

Hi all, thnaks for that David, i heard it and Mentor 02 call on about an hour after my last post, and they were hearding to Deniliquin yesterday afternoon. they mention they had 8 POB as well if thats any help?

I have heard the callsign Mentor several times aswell. I don't know if they have possibly allocated that one to the Hercs.

I must admit , I've never heard that callsign , but there's always the first time . Doe's sound like a Herc though , what with a POB of 8 .. Definitely not a PC9!!

yeah thats right, you hear stuff like hudson callsigns come up a lot usually from east sale, but yeah i didntrealise that Wagga was still an acive RAAF base. be interesting to see what it is.
