Well today saw some of us get together at Mark Faheys radio shack out at Freemans Reach. Just dawned on me now that we should have posted the details on this forum too for some of you blokes to attend. Mark is a member of these forums and provides the feed we see of aircraft West of Sydney (and beyond) on Planeplotter. I thought I was an aircraft decoding/satellite head but Mark sure does take the cake

Was a good afternoon and good to see how others run their setups. Mark also feeds the live atc via satellite alongside my YSSY feed at liveatc.net. Was good to see how Mark runs his feed. Feeding satellite signals off the Optus C1 satellite means that Mark can receive almost of all the traffic around Australia. He can even hear the controllers handing off aircraft to eachother!! Once I have mine running I will be streaming those sort of comms also on the net. Can't wait to get it going. Have all the equipment just need to get a scanner that receives around 1000MHz. Anyway, thanks for the beer and the bbq Mark. Had a good afternoon. Below are some pics for you all to enjoy!
