I read an interesting coupl of web pages today, purely by accident but for those interested Google 'Jetstar ACARS' without the quotes. One site returned is http://www.avdat.com.au/release/PAGN%20 ... 202007.pdf which says Jetstar has it's own ACARS network and doesn't get charged the usual message rates by either ARINC or SITA.

My question is does Jetstar piggyback off the 131.55 MHz frequency or do they have their own discreet frequency in Australia? I have had a couple of JQ's over here in NZ on 131.55 MHz but was interested to know about Australia.

Mike, in Australia, looks as though they piggyback off the 131.5500 freq. There is another freq that we use here for some other airlines. I will find out which one. I have not tried monitoring it as yet.
